The GPS is easy to operate after some trying to navigate the software. The power plug for the car was broken in the box but a little glue and patience made it work. I hope the glue holds and I don't have to replace the power cord. Sending the whole unit back is a hassle.

The screen is large and easy to read and the bluetooth connection is easy and sounds great.

Very easy to set up and use. Had to purchase the bean bag mount as the provided suction cup is not feasible for me. The bean bag mount should come standard.
On a recent 1,600 mile round trip, only really disappointed when the preloaded map did not recognize that a stretch of US 77 in Texas near Victoria was complete.

I gave the Garmin nuvi 760 GPS to my husband for his birthday. I was extremely happy with the fast shipping. It is our first one to own and we tried it out after downloading everything and he is absolutly delighted with it. It is user friendly, easy to place in the car. It was not totally up on road construction but managed to help us get around it anyway. A very handy piece of equipment.

I just purchased my nuvi 760 last week and I was very excited about it because it had so many features and functions that my old Garmin Streetpilot c340 didn't have. But unfortunately I guess all those new functions cause the new GPS display/software to freeze. My GPS would hang when doing basic GPS functions like setting a destination, using the bluetooth phone functions, etc. In the one week that I had the GPS it hung 5 times already. It isn't user friendly to have to repeat everything all over again. I'm returning the unit back to Amazon and I'll see how customer service is.

I had a reason to change my review after using this gizmo for a while. I honestly believe Garmin 760 is a hyped GPS.

Cons:

It's pricey - especially when it doesn't have most the features you would expect.
Blue tooth is such a waste. The speaker is behind the unit (why not in front?)
I read other reviews where folks have had to purchase an additional microphone.
When you make turn the ding feature has been removed - I had it in my cheaper GPS earlier.

It takes while for the GPS to get connected to the satellite even on a clear sunny day.
I am surprised Garmin doest have a single unit in the market which gives you just the option to take the Highway or inroads. Yes it does give shortest and fastest way not necessarily Highway. I was going to Chicago from Columbus and I drove through lot of inroads which kind of was a pain since there were a little too many red lights on that stretch.

Pros:

I wouldn't necessarily say this is a bad GPS. It's really a beautiful looking GPS. I believe Garmin could have done better on this unit. Every unit is missing some feature or other. Bottom line is that if you are going to buy a Garmin GPS don't buy it for all the frills and enhancement the GPS claims. All the MP3, Bluetooth and other frills are not worth paying the extra bucks. My friend has a lot cheaper Garmin and his maps does the same thing any other GPS would do. But yes I do vouch for Garmin to be much better then most other GPS's in the market.
