Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - "WARNING" Programs conflict
If you are being encouraged to purchase Panda Internet Security 'AND' Panda Antivirus 2008, "DO NOT" buy both. They will 'conflict' with each other. During installation each program will say that the other has to be un-installed first. Both have an antivirus program. The only real difference is that this version has a firewall and some other bells and whistles. I had the regular Panda Antivirus 2007 last year and it did a very nice job. If you have a decent firewall on your computer this is a waste of money, just get the antivirus 2008 version. These two products should not be advertised together, since they do not work in tandem. That's the only reason I gave it 2 stars. The product itself is very good.


Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Panda Is Worst Software Ever.
We bought 6 licenses for our office computers on the recommendation of a friend who works for a major computer manufacturer. As soon as we installed Panda Internet Security 2008 every one of the computers became very slow and erratic. they will stop responding for 10 sec. to 2 minutes, and sometimes permanently hand up. We tried disabling various functions within Panda but nothing helped except completely disabling everything. We get NO RESPONSE from technical Support. We are now in the process of uninstalling Panda from every computer and will replace with something else -- just not Norton.

I'm not going to look up my computer's specifications for the sake of time, but it's not old and should have been compatible with this software but it crashed my computer.
I downloaded the sample from Panda's website, and it completely froze my computer. It was so bad, not even my shortcut icons on my desktop would load. That, of course made it impossible to delete the software since my computer couldn't finish starting up without freezing.
I had to get Dell to fix this over the phone and it wasn't cheap to do that, so this software turned out to be a costly mistake.
All I can advise is to expect the worst.


Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Panda's Dandy
I've only had Panda IS installed for a short time, so I can't say how it will hold up in the long run. But so far, I love it. The instructions were easy to understand, the install was easy and fast, and configuring the setup for my preferences was simple. The program runs quietly in the background and also updates itself with no interference of other tasks I'm doing. I had Norton IS before this, but I thought it took a long time to load on start-up and also seemed to bog down my system while it was running. I also had to initiate every update, which was really a pain. With Panda I have resolved these problems. I'm happy. The price from Amazon was great, too...free after rebate and free shipping.


Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Troublesome installation, poor customer service
It seems to run well and does not slow my systems down as much as some other protective software has but I encountered problems with other software compatibilities on each computer I installed it on and as others have mentioned Panda customer assistance seems to be permanently out to lunch.

I would not recommend this product to folks that aren't Geeks because of it's installation problems with other software. Norton may be slower but it is much less troublesome to install.
