Software Microsoft Office Professional 2007 FULL VERSION

Domain Name Com's - Software : Microsoft Office Professional 2007 FULL VERSION

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Doesn't Deserve Praise
I bought and installed this product because I had a new computer and I required the tools to access and manage various work documents. I figured it would be a moderately useful upgrade on previous office products. However I was mistaken.

This version of Microsoft Office takes the concept of "bloatware" to new heights ... it seems the folk at Microsoft have been distracted by their own interface trinkets and have forgotten to address even basic useability issues. The result is a program that is sluggish, counter-intuitive and presents a whole new learning curve, even for those who are/were familiar with previous versions of Office.

If you have a lot of time on your hands to learn a "new" way of doing things that different without being better (frequently worse) - and you have no desire to work efficiently with your computer, then perhaps there would be nothing to complain about with this new version. Otherwise, I really can't recommend it.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Breathtaking arrogance, useless product
Microsoft's arrogance is breathtaking. People have spent years building skills in Office, and they come along and completely re-make the product. Make no mistake: the 2007 Office is not an upgrade; it is essentially a brand new software package. You have to learn a new program from scratch! Before you rush to call me lazy, think about what you'd do if the car manufacturers made a new car that was so different that you had to learn driving anew. Should they call you lazy if you balk? But wait. Don't they know better than you do as to what you want in a good software? Arrogance. It has undone empires in the past; and it looks like it is going to do the same for Microsoft. Again, the arrogance of putting so much burden on people to re-learn a complex software that they have spent years mastering, of causing so much damage to corporate productivity in the short term (and perhaps even in the long-term), of imposing their view of what is a good sofware so domineeringly upon everyone ... Arrogance, arrogance, and arrogance. Hitherto a fan of Microsoft, I am going to count down the days until the world wakes up to the evils of their monopolization of the office productivity products. The Office 2007 is an unmistakeable evidence of their abuse of this monopoly.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Worth the Wait
This product has a lot of new features and takes a minute or two to get used to, but it was definately worth the wait.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Look Before You Leap!

WARNING! Do not assume that installing Office 2007 will make your life easier.

If you have been a long-time user of MS Office, and you install Office 2007, you will EXPERIENCE EXTREME FRUSTRATION when trying to use OUTLOOK, EXCEL, WORD and POWERPOINT (I haven't tried the other programs).

In order to navigate the programs somewhat effectively, I had to purchase a progam from China to make the use of Office 2007 Pro more familiar.

It is inconceivable to me that Microsoft would trash all of the excellent work that has been done on the Office product suite . . . but they have succeeded!

I unistalled Office 2007 Pro and have re-installed Office 2003 Pro.

I pity those employees who have been "upgraded" to Office 2007 by their company.

If you insist on trying Office 2007, I wish you the best of luck!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Once you learn it, it works *for* you, not against you.
I love Office 2007, a reaction that exists in sharp contrast to how I feel about Office 2004 (See my review on the Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac Student and Teacher [OLD VERSION] page). Though I am occasionally stymied by trying to complete a task that yes, would've taken me seconds in Office 2003 or 2004 (both of which I have used extensively during my time at college), I find the ribbon interface to be fresh, bold take on something that had become quite old and stale.

From a functionality and usability point of view, the completely redone "insert symbol" and "insert equation" functions in Word '07 make so much sense and are so easy to use that it really frustrates me if I end up working on somebody else's computer that only has Office '03: the process by which you build up your equations is much more streamlined than ever before, something that I appreciate as an engineering student. Additionally, the tools for manipulating images in PowerPoint (cropping, resizing, et cetera) are much improved.

Office 2007 is my favorite of the five versions of Office that I've used (X, 2003, 2004, 2007, and 2008)--I've got an install of Windows XP in Parallels on my Mac so that I don't have to use Office '08 to do my work.

Thanks, Microsoft--you took a gamble, but it really paid off!
