- Kit price is less than the dock price alone
I only want the dock but have not been able to find it for less than the kit. (OK, the kit was 4 cents more on the Kodak web site, but still cheaper here.) So if you want the dock, buy the kit, and recycle the stuff that won't work with your camera.

Get some other kind of bag. I like Lowepro and they have compatability size charts for their bags on their web site (www.lowepro.com) for Kodak cameras. For instance, I got a Lowepro Rezo 20 Camera Case (Black) for my Z1285.

Very small and inexpensive so I can take it anywhere to recharge my camera. Works great and is perfect for me as I don't print my own pictures. My old one got fried during a power surge, so this one is plugged into a surge protector...

the Kodak EasyShare dock is good in theory, but comes up short in the real world. The dock claims to be designed for the Kodak Z series camera. It wasn't until I spent the money had the dock at home that I realized that the dock "fits" my camera, but the rechargeable battery it comes with is not for my model Camera. Not only does the battery that came with it not compatible, but the battery I need is an additional $24.00 on top of the $44.00 I already laid out for the dock. If I new the dock didn't come with the right battery up front, I would have looked at other options.

I also doesn't help that the battery I need is on backorder everywhere and I have to use AA batteries in the meantime. Another extra waste of money.

The Dock DOES fit my camera, and the adapter plate from the Camera does go on the dock. Let's hope the dock actually charges the battery when I finally get it.

--- Unrelated to the dock itself, if my camera required a special rechargeable battery, it should have come with it. Buying all the accessories later only works if they are all truly universal.

- Wrong Battery!
I was very dissapointed to find the battery included in this kit was not the correct one for my camera. I thought I had researched it properly and selected the correct item, only to find the battery did not fit. I kept the kit because I needed the charger, but had to buy an additional battery.

- Does not come with all the parts you need
This is intended to be a convienient device, which it would be if it came with all of the parts. The one thing it is missing is critical... that is the plastic insert that guides your camera so the jack fits into the camera. I called Kodak, and after I was forwarded to 4 different numbers, I was informed that the insert is no longer available. Apparently the insert was supposed to have come with my camera, but it's long gone (if I ever had one). I was willing to buy the insert, but I was very disapointed that Kodak doesn't do a better job supporting their products.
