I use this product for Skype. I'm on the phone all day for business and this headset is incredible. The sound quality is top notch.

If I had to give it one knock, it would be the over the head padding is a little light. But, I wear it for hours at a time and there is no discomfort. If you have a large head, it might feel a little tight.

This is an amazing headset! It produces extremely good sound quality, has a great mic, and is very comfortable. Works very well with my x-fi xtreme gamer soundcard. The positional audio is top notch. The usb soundcard is a nice extra feature. It doesnt sound as good (or get as loud) as an x-fi but it is a step up from onboard audio.

If you are looking for a headset that will not "leak" sound to the outside world this is not for you. It has openings behind the speakers which allows for better frequency response but it lets a lot of noise out at high volumes. Sennheiser does make a headset without the openings that is basically identical to this one though (pc 156)

This is the best headset i have used in this price-range. You usually cannot find a headset this good for under $100.


Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Are you kidding me?
Wow! I don't think these things are as comfortable as the Plantronics headsets. And they definitely DO NOT have the full rich bass sound the plantronis use. I am upset at plantronics for having some captibility driver issues, etc. but after hearing these things I'm going back to plantronics and ordering the newer game pro 2.

Even though this is a pricey headset, I've now realized that you get what you pay for. I had a $40 Logitech headset before this and it was not even close to as comfortable as this headset is. As an avid gamer who can spend 7-8 hours at a time on the computer I needed a headset that was comfortable. The cushion on the earpieces are wonderful. I did have to take the foam piece off of the microphone as people said I sounded low. I probably could have spent time tweaking my sound settings but it was easier just to remove it.

The one con that this headset has is that it is terrible at keeping the noise to yourself. Other people in the room can hear what is coming out of the headset even when it's at a moderate volume. To solve this, I've told the other people to turn up the TV until it drowns me out. =)


Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Excellent headset! Only 1 minor flaw...
I'm using this headset to do character voicing for a children's book. The headphone sound is quite good for a headset at this price. You could pay a lot more and not get much better. And the connecting flexibility with the USB adapter is a big plus. The only problem i have with this headset is that the boom microphone could be either a bit longer or have some sort of extension in order to be properly positioned closer to the mouth for better audio input. Thanks Sennheiser! Great product! I would buy from them again!
