Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Antec Three Hundred computer case
Purchased the Antec Three Hundred computer case through Amazon to build a new home computer which would be used for everyday computing as well as gaming.

I've used Antec cases before, so was familiar with their very good build quality and features. The Three Hundred is a good compromise between a full-tower gamer's case like the Antec 1200 and the typical case designed solely for home or business computers. It is a mid-tower case, so it doesn't seem huge sitting on or next to our home desk, but it has ample room inside to take a full ATX gamer's motherboard and easily fits two large gaming video cards in "SLI" or "Crossfire" configuration without interference with other internal components.

Interenal hard drive bays are accessed from the front of the case, which makes it easy to service, install or swap drives without disturbing other internal components (although you do have to remove the left side cover to access the latches that allow removal of the front bezel, but this is much easier than it sounds). There are no sharp edges inside the case; all edges are rolled, and the build is sturdy for a case in this price range. Antec supplied an adequate number of case and drive screws and motherboard stand-offs.

Other features:
- This case puts the power supply (not included) at the bottom, which makes the case more stable, but you may need a PS with long cables. I used an Antec TruPower Trio (also purchased through Amazon), which worked out fine. Excess cables can be tucked inside a built-in cable compartment alongside the internal drive bays, which has its own cable ties, for neatness and better cooling.
- Antec supplies 2 large 3-speed fans with this case, one 120 mm blowing out the back and a 140 mm blowing out the top. It has provisions to add 3 additional fans, one on the side to provide additional cooling to the video cards, and 2 behind the front bezel, directly in front of the hard-drive bays. I closed-off the opening in the side panel, but added a 120 mm fan (with blue lighting!) blowing in from the front. So far this cooling arrangement seems adequate to my needs, but I can still add 2 more fans if I need to.
- The front bezel is plastic, but removes and installs easily, and contains a washable, removable filter covering the area in front of the hard-drive bays.

Cons:
- The Three Hundred provides front access ports for headphone, microphone, and two USB 2.0 connections, but no IEEE 1394 or e-SATA ports.
- There are 3 external 5.25-inch drive bays, but no 3.5-inch external bays. If you need to add a floppy drive, card reader, or other external 3.5-inch component, you'll need to find and purchase a 5.25-3.5 bay adapter (I did).
- No case speaker is included.

Summary: This is a very nice case for the price. Fit and finish are very good, and features are adequate for home/business or gaming. Not too large, but not too compact, either. Recommended.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Antec Three Hundred
GOOD basic case that will keep computer cool,
but you will have to add on case fans because
only comes with one rear 120 and one top 140
exhaust fans that will exhaust very good.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great case, runs cool and quiet!
Interesting design, in that you mount the power supply at the bottom. At the top there is a large fan pushing air out and one on the back. The case fits together well, no phantom vibrations and the air coming out is always cool, despite my Quad core processor and 4 hard drives inside. Mounts to add 3 more fans, and a side compartment with twist ties to hide extra wire are nice extras.

All in all a great case for the money, I would buy it again.

Now for the negatives, which are all minor:

1. No 3.5 floppy bay. Not for a floppy, but a multi-card reader. This is easily resolved with an adapter, but it would be nice not to have to buy the adapter.

2. The power button seems a little flimsy.

3. The front-panel jacks for usb/audio are at the top and easy to reach from the outside. However, the cable inside needs to be longer. All of my cables inside are routed neatly except this one, which has to run diagonally across the motherboard.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Nice looking, easy to work with
Although the case name mentions Gaming, I would think this is better suited for casual home office/ budget home theatre.
I have just a DVD-RW in the top slot. The power and reset buttons are just above the top external bay; blending in with the facade. The power LED and ide LED are blue, quite small and right next to the reset.
The ability to add so many 120mm fans is opportunity to use low rpm cooling to keep the system quiet. I would however replace the switched Antecs with something along the line of SCYTHE 800rpm.
I did notice the 300 case is about an inch & a half less deep than my CoolerMaster 690; which I would suggest as a fabulous gaming case. This I point out to those who are concerned about length of high end video cards fitting inside.
I am adding internal memory card reader, but I had to order the 5.25 to 3.5 faceplate adapter from ANTEC.com store for 9.95 additional. (not included)
The aforementioned CoolerMaster included a 3.5 inch faceplate with its case.
Most won't need the adapter though.

I like the case for my non-gaming needs. Its a nice looking case; runs cool. My 690 is my gaming case.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good Case
I was building a case for Home office with occasional gaming and HD experience. This case fits perfectly for my needs, I used a EV 650W supply from ANtec, EVGA 8800GT card, Quad-core Q6600 Processor. This has 3 5.25 external and 6 3.5 internal bays. More than eonough for my needs. All the parts fit in without any problems, didn't have to adjust any thing. The case feels sturdy and looks roomier for a mini tower.
