- Easy to use, but worth the set up time
This is great for those who are lost with the many buttons on a remote. Everything syncs up like the description says.
If you have a Sirius or XM radio, you better have the remote, cause these arent supported and you have to manually enter the IR codes.

The only thing that may be difficult about this remote is actually remembering the sequence you use to have all of your AV equipment on to have the proper signal.

If you have a laptop and can sit in front of your home theater setup if you are unsure of these sequences, I highly recomend it, you wont have to keep going back and forth to your computer.

Set-up and trouble shooting took me about an hour and half total. I added a new component and that only took 2 mins to update the remote. Its worth the time and the money.

It has a nice, slight rubberized grip and a two tier palm rest under the remote so it is comforatble to hold in any position while reaching for the top buttons of the lower ones.

Generally a good (but not great)product. The major drawback is that most of the buttons are tiny...way too small for the average-sized finger. Small buttons make it difficult to utilize the DVR fast-forward and other activities.

First off it took me awhile to decide to buy this. I have a harmony 659 and it works great going on two years. I started reading reviews of the 720 and they seemed so favorable that I decided to get one problem was only a few places have them. After days of calling stores I found it at Target.
The 720 was so easy to program, I was up and running in 30 minutes. I had only one glitch and the support center helped me with it. This is even easier to use then the 659 and having the additional keys helps.
The color screen is easy to read, and it does fit well in the cradle for recharging.
If you are thinking of upgrading your remote or looking at purchasing one and want one that is easy to use this is the one to get. It cost $200 and is worth every penny.

My first Harmony remote was the 880, and while I was not completely satisfied, I can't live without it! I bought the 720 at Costco for a new entertainment system in my parent's house, thinking the 720 was a lesser and cheaper version of the 880. Not at all, it's has the same capabilities and fixes the gripes I have with the 880 (tactile feel and screen quality). I prefer the squarer design and the rubber buttons. And in case you are wondering (I was), all of the rubber buttons are backlit. The remote is a little longer than the 880, but that makes it easier to use. There is one minor functional difference between the 720 and 880, the 720 has 6 customizable buttons instead of 8, but it's not an issue for me.

Logitech has also dramatically improved the configuring application so setting up the remote on your PC has gotten much easier and user friendly. The "Help" function is now much more powerful as well so I'm able to stick this into the hands of any person and tell them to use "Help" if they have any trouble.

This device still requires a tech savvy person to setup and configure, however it makes it easy for any non-savvy operators to use complex home theater. I bought it for my parents after they spent $6,000 on a home theater system but didn't know how to turn on all of the equipment properly. Why spend all of that money on a system and not invest in a device that would enable you to actually use it properly?

If you are doubting the investment, GET IT! This is a home theater essential!
