- Fun Game, but BEWARE you need at least 15GB of memory.
This game is a lot of fun with good graphics but beware you need at least 15GB of memory for the game to work other wise you have wasted your money.

Well Maybe I should run around the living room Flapping my Arms and saying Zoooom like i did when i was a kid...
Bought it, tried to load it, hit the catch 22...You can't load disc 2 because you are using dvd software that writes dvd's however you can't load it without dvd software. Spoke With Microsoft in Mumbi for about an hour and he could't figure it out so he sends me new disc's but they don't work cause of the software conflict. So you unload the DVD software and the thing says "Hey, I won't run without dvd software". Big duel core computer with 2gig memory etc. I will figure this out eventually or returm my purchase to Amazon. Then I will try to use the Microsoft Money software.

I just got this for Christmas and I was all hyped up about the new Flight Simulator. FS 2004 is awesome and works fine, but FS X does not have the good detailed cockpit like in FS-04. It also says it is in "safe mode." Every time I try to run it, it keeps asking me for the product key. It also wants to work online to use the game.
Flight Simulator 2004 was better.

I've used older versions of flight simulator before and they were good, but this version is the best by far. I open the box and followed the instructions and in no time at all I was flying. Installation on XP was very easy. I even got a copy for my Dad and he had no problem with the installation either and he's not the most computer sauve guy in the world.

I'm not what you would call a big gamer so I maybe more easily impressed than others, but the graphic are great and the feel and response of the controlls is very good. If I had to make any complaints at all, it would be that it takes awhile for the application to load (3 to 4 minutes), but after that your off to the races. I would have problems recomending this product to anyone that's interested in flying.

FSX was and is built for Vista home premeum or higher. FSX is designed for DirectX 10. FSX is designed to run on DirectX 10 Video cards. FSX is designed to run on NEW Vista Computers, not upgraded computers. I also would recommend that if you get a new Computer, only use it for games, don't connect it to the internet, as all the security garbage, they pre install, slows down the computer, and just uninstall it. If you go on the internet, you can collect all kind of garbage and spam, that can land in your regestry, which can slow down more your computer, also having to defrag your hard drive that much more.

Why the matching, because every upgrade operating system adds more moving objects, that can be seen on a screen, at the same time. Go back to the commadore 64, you had 16 sprites, or moving objects at the same time on the screen. DirectX 9, a few thousand,objects directX 10 over a million thats why all objects running around, and that is why you need a video card, to handle all the extra objects. Also 4 gig of memory.

What I do is run one computer for the net, and one for games. You can but a switch, where as you can run two computers on one display unit.
