- Couldn't be happier
I received this phone, and 4 additional handsets, and couldn't be more pleased. I was leery due to the reviews disappointed with the low volume of the cordless handsets, and the voice mail cutting off the end of the messages. Neither of these concerns have proven true. This phone system is so intuitively put together and does everything I hoped it would. Between the mobility of having the cordless handsets (with headsets), and the money saved from cancelling our phone company's voice mail service, I couldn't be more pleased.

- Good for small business
This phone system is good for small business. But they're the consummer product line so dont expect many features as the professional line. I don't why some people in this post gave it a bad review. If you want to have 3 digits extension instead of 1 digit to impress your customer, all you have to do is tell your customer that your ext. is 230 for expl. As soon they press the key number 2, the system will transfer the call to that "fake" ext. 230, the system ignores all other numbers after the first key is pressed. I normally don't write review. Amazon.com shipped my order fast and I did have a very good experience with them in the past.

The "1" button will break..... It will.

I had this system (now replaced with another brand) and 3 other small business owners I know had this system and ALL of us experienced the "1" button failing.
When I contacted Panasonic, they responded as if I should expect their product to fail after the 1 year warranty expired, and I should plan to replace it. They have no plans to resolve the problem on future production and no plans for recall.

They had NO PRIDE at all, and no concern about quality or brand loyalty.

At first, I replaced the 2 handsets that failed at my expense, and a brand new on they sent me failed immediately, after a month of playing their game "trouble shooting" they finally agreed to allow me to send it back for repair or replacement.
During the few weeks it took to get a replacement that soon also failed, my business lacked a phone and we had to share handsets. This resulted in callers being on hold longer than desirable and some lost callers and therefore, lost business.

I finally had to cut my losses and purchase a whole new system from another manufacturer.

If you care about your customers and your business more than Panasonic does, you will pass on this waste of time.

- Works with Wifi intensive location
We had growing trouble with the panasonic 4000 series because of interference with wifi and the microwave oven. We have not had this happen at all because they changed the frequency. We have little 5.8GHz traffic at the moment, so this may change as that band fills up.

- Expensive Disappointment
I have owned many Panasonic cordless phones so I didn't blink when I forked over $400 for this 4 line beauty.
You need to know 3 things about this phone.
1 My customers tell me my voice fades in and out from the corded base.
2 The range on the hand set varies from acceptable to pathetic from the same location.
3 The hand set stopped functioning after 13 months.
