Bought this after doing much research and finding out about the $[...] rebate in the discussion area. Easy set-up, and accomplishes what is advertised. I have four components for it control (TV, DVR, Receiver, and DVD) and three were in the online database. My receiver was older, but with a very simple "learning" mode which the software walked me through, it "learned" that remote functions also.

The only "problem" I had was with my DVR, until I realized I had set it to receive RF signals only. Once I reset it to IF, I was golden. All in all, initial set-up took about 30 minutes from the minute I put the CD in my laptop drive until I had a working remote.

My wife was thrilled when I showed her last night "just hold the button that says "Watch TV" and lo and behold, the TV came on, the receiver came on, and the DVR came on.

I still have some "tweaking" to do, but this is a great product, especially for $80 dollars. I highly recommend it to all.

I just received the Logitech Harmony 880 two days ago and have used it only a few times since receiving it. The deal was hard to beat as Amazon was offering it for $130 witha $50 mail in rebate available. For $80 I could simply not pass this up!

Set up was incredibly simple, though I had the benefit of having read several consumer reviews to prepare me for the general flow prior to working within the Logitech website. I had it programmed and working perfectly in a snap. I do occasionally experience a device that does not power up or an input that does not switch, but the help function makes the fix extremely quick and easy.

Though I have had it for only a couple of days, I have had absolutely no trouble with the 880 seating in the recharging cradle immediately with no jiggling or extra effort.

I am one of those with a PS3. After reading multiple reviews, the Nyko Blu Wave remote will be ordered as soon as I complete this review. Even with teh lack of the power button (the eject is a non-issue as others have pointed out), this will truly get me to a single remote for my entire system.

This device lacks any sort of design for the human hand. Certain buttons are just not reachable without dropping the device or using both hands. The power charger is designed to NOT charge your device unless you use a rubber band and strap it around the base station and the clicker. Let's face it, there are only 3 real options of programming, SAT, CABLE, and Broadcast. Why can't these devices be take that into consideration? Button controls should be simple as in the case of a SAT controller, but no. They design the system to be a programmers play thing. I already have a play thing...kids...which cannot use this device because the buttons ar put together in a fashion that you have to be exactly in the right position to push the button. Designers of this device failed, but "guts" are great.

with today's need to have so many applicanes to create the home theatre effect (that is my husband's job) and then there is me, the wife who is technology challenged: the harmony is easy to set up to capture almost all appliances we have and for me - I just press one botton to get to each application (dvd, blueray, music, watch tv). the 'help' button is very useful too ... a little help desk feature. Just remember to point at the applcances when you press the buttons (I tend to move the remote away too quicky and sometimes one piece of the applicance does not switch on/off - but there is always the help button). our older one broke (my fault!) and it was no brainer to replace it with the same one. I love it and so will many wives who has a husband who like his gadgets.

Cons
cant do RF, althugh the 890 model does this and it would be good to have bluetooth to do the playstation 3.
