My doctor recommended that I purchase this specific model (Omron HJ-112) pedometer because she has one, has tested it for accuracy, and likes it because it has the secondary clip to keep it securely attached. I like it for these reasons, too, but, in addition, I like that it can be clipped discretely inside my purse and still measure steps accurately, that it has a memory that saves steps walked for several days at a time, and that it also has a setting to count aerobic steps. It's a nifty little device for the money!

I have been through quite a few pedometers in the past month, and returned them all. This one is just what I needed. It can fit comfortably in a pocket if you don't want to attach it to a belt loop. It's easy to use even for those who are impaired at figuring out things like this. It also seems to be well-crafted and designed. I'm not giving this one back.

I've tried several pedometers and so far this seems the best. Accurate as described. I put it in my pocket and it works great. Others when clipped to the waist seemed to fall off or stop counting mid-day or something else. It's been a month and so far, so GREAT!

This is the second pedometer I've purchased. The first was a little cheapo that clipped onto the waist or shoe. It had a small digital readout. It was never accurate, and I eventually stopped trying to figure out to make it work properly.

For me, the main selling point for the Omron was the fact that it didn't have to be worn outside on the clothing. I wanted to carry it around all day to count my steps while I was at work, on lunch, commuting, etc. Well, I can say without hesitation that this one works just sitting in your pocket. And it's accurate. When calibrating it for my steps, I did my own little test. I walked about 200 steps and counted the steps to myself. When I pulled it out of my pocket, it had the same count I did. I was amazed that it was so perfect.

I now carry this in my jeans every day. A coworker picked one up and we do a lot of walking on our lunch hour. Others have seen us comparing our steps and calculating our miles -- now everyone wants one.

If you've been looking for a real pedometer, one to use every day, look no further. Order the Omron.
