- Halo, one of the best!
I wanted to start my review today by listing the cons of Halo, but, as I was writing, I found that there is only 1 real con. Levels! The level design in some areas is absolutely beautiful, and stunning. In others, it is so incredibly boring and repetitive that it almost made me fall asleep. The game has you running through room after room after room, and they are all identical. This imho, highlights the development idea that a user enjoys a rich environment full of detail.

The reason I say it highlights that idea is because at one point, I was ready to stop playing. The levels were getting so boring, I was ready to throw in the towel. Let me say I'M GLAD I DIDN'T QUIT!!! There are some surprises (pertaining to level design) at the end that are just stunning!

As far as game play goes, its all on key. The game play is absolutely solid, the physics are dead on, and feel good, motions are smooth and believable, etc etc... Graphics are all top notch, and the game is quite challenging as you will be involved in many epic battles with hoards and swarms of baddies, one after another....

Story? After all, it is primarily a single player game! The story is extremely thin, yet surprisingly gripping. I found myself wondering what was going to happen next, and wanting to know how it all ends. Its not the best single player FPS story around, but definitely good.

Bottom line:
If someone were to ask me "should I get this game?" I'd have to say definitely, in fact, get 2 copy's!!!

Con un nuevo set multijugador solo para esta version, Halo para PC se abre paso entre los jugadores amantes no solo de la plataforma si no tambien de su version original para la consola Xbox. Lamentablemente Halo para PC sufrio mucho x ser publicado algunos años + tarde kel original, topandose con mejores fps tanto en calidad grafica como de trama.

- Xbox game hits PC, finally.
First off, I have read tons of reviews that say this game will not run on their high-end CPU. Bull crap. This game runs fine on my 2.3 MGhz Pentium 2. Just wanted to clear that up.
The single-player is okay, not the best i've ever played. The AI is iffy, there's no co-op, and the levels get repetetive fast. The happy story is the multiplayer.
To put it short, the multiplayer is a blast. People have been complaining about teamkillers. They have autobanning, doy? With 6 new maps, 2 new weapons(should have added more), and 2 new vehicles, it'll keep you playing for hours.
At $20.00, this is a real deal.

- A great first person shooter
Halo is a terrific first person shooter. I played through the whole game. The alien technology and creatures were totally convincing and the flights were captivating. The last mission that is getting out in the truck kicks [...]. The Flood and the Covenant are so ugly you love shooting them to pieces. The concept of a halo in space is perfectly rendered in the game.

- Like on Xbox but More To It
I've found this game is really fun to play, especially cuz its like the xbox version but there are added guns like the fuel rod gun and the flamethrower(freakin sweet!). theres tonsa new cool maps and new vehicles, and the ability to play player-created maps always keeps the game fresh and new. A definite pick of mine and the gameplay is a lot like half-life is you have ever played that on computer. I must say though, the xbox version is better, just because playing with a controller versus a keyboard/mouse is better in my opinion. PEACE!
