- Wasted my money and 3 days of my time!!!
Yes, I read all the reviews before buying. I needed something simple with absolutely no programming involved. Since I didn't like any of the templatesthat came with the software, I decided to build my own. Well, to sum it up - after 3 very frustrating days of trying to build my own template, I accomplished zero. I read the manual from start to finish. It is VERY poorly written for anyone who wants to do any of their own designing in Namo. In fact, after getting on their website and looking at the forum topics, I discovered that you CAN'T build your own template for your entire site. THAT VERSION IS GOING TO BE RELEASED IN MARCH 2004!!!!!!!!!! As soon as I discovered this, I went to Best Buy and purchased WebEasy Pro which is much cheaper. It is also much easier to learn and extremely user friendly with a super help section. I would highly recommend that if you want to make your own design in ANY way - do not purchase NAMO! Buy WebEasy Pro which is cheaper and far superior to Namo! Thanks Namo for wasting my time and money. Just wish I could get a refund!

As many had praised this one - This software is really a good one. I tried Dreamweaver MX 2004 and FrontPage 2003. As I am not into HTML (I used to write some when it was in version 3 or something in the pre-DHTML days ) and am more into graphic designing my sites - I decided that Drewamweaver is not my tool and definitely not in my budget limits. FP2003 however is closer in feel and cost but NAMO WE5.5 has all the features I was looking for in such a tool and in a much more convenient way of doing it. Just a small example of GUI design: in FrontPage 2003, in order to link inserted anchors with a hyperlink I had to open a dialog box of the anchors and select them , in Namo the dropdown list of anchors is just below the hyperlink input text. many many more similar features are better thought of in NAMO's.

One feature which really knocked me down is Smart Buttons: you can force the software to automatically create navigation bars and banners form your OWN CUSTOMIZED graphics - unlike XARA WebStyle which I also have nad like. In Namo, unlike Xara - This will be done for all the Site's pages by just copying the HTML code and pasting into each file - the software will automatically modify the graphics by their location in the site ! There is a tutorial to show you how - 100 % !

The price - oh the Price this is where the program really shines |!

you really get a full blown professional software bundled with all the goodies you will ever need for as low as 49 US $ (educational)

PROS:
- very fast GUI & Operation
- Does everything it says it does - well.
- Supports CSS
- Graphic WebSite Builder.
- Site manager
- Support Layouts
- All the bread and vutter stuff.
- WebCanvas is a really good vector graphics editor
- Easy to use.
- Many templates and graphics
- Many , Many more features
- A good HTML editor.

CONS:

- Templates are not very usefull (design is too childish) but this is not a handicap if you are into designing your own websites.

You get an excellent package and there is the educational option which allows everybody to buy it for less.

I use this product over Dreamweaver for the reason that it is simple and quick and the upgrades are less than half the price of a upgrade of Dreamweavers. I am looking foward to the new release that is comming out in the beginning of next year... :)
