Since a long time ago, I always have had problems with spyware and malware which make my computer runs slow and cause other problems. I tried many utility software like Adware and other similar software, but these software did not eliminate all the problems, and some of the firewalls block not only adware and spyware, they block almost anything. Thus, it made my netlife almost impossible to live and caused too many headaches.

I read about this product in PC Magazine and decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, all my problems are gone since I installed this product. My computer is clean and fast since all the spyware and malvare are eliminated. I am glad that I bought this product!

I suddenly started having odd windows popup. I ran and reran Adware the paid version not the freebie. It found a few things. This went on for a couple of weeks and after the daily updates nothing changed. I kept getting popups.. So I downloaded spybot as well and ran it. It found a couple of more things but still the popups came... I downloaded the free scan from spy sweeper and ran it.. It found 2 memory resident ezula and clkoptimizer right off the bat..... It also successfully cleaned these as well.. It also found many more items.. This after scanning with 2 other products.......

Another Major benefit is the adblocker :) It will block known ad vendors ads if you turn that on.. Hehe now i get alot of those page cannot be displayed where ads are supposed to be ;)

well worth the little $ for 2 years

I purchased this software from the advice of a computer geek at one of the larger electronic chains (BB). I was having horrible trouble with ads which totally locked up my computer. Then, I installed this product and never had a problem since (unless the computer software industry and MS come out with sometype of other computer attacking scheme- hmmm). Of course, I have not tried any other products to zap adware, just this one, but I was very surprised that it worked so well. Also, each time one of those ads does get through (it's a large marketing tactic), I just email webroot and they seem to come out with an update to help! Great customer service too (I guess it takes an overseas company to do things right...sorry for the extra tidbits)

I am satisfied with spysweeper
today it's not enuff to have anti virus software and a firewall
need to also have Spy sweeper, easy to set up and use
webroot continues to makes quality products
I highly recommend this one for Windows users

A Webroot spyware cleaner/blocker came with my earthlink 2005 upgrade. Shortly after install I noticed my computer (XP/sp2)was hesitating every few seconds. Looked at the performance tab in the windows task manager (Ctrl Alt Del) and saw the CPU usage was surging to 100% several times a minute causing the hesitation. This seemed to be an interaction with McAfee virus auto protect as activity of McAfee in processes would jump with the CPU wave. Killed the webroot blocker and all was back to normal. This product may be good for cleaning, but avoid using the full time blocking feature as the system resources will suffer.
