This is a cool game.The only bad part is,NO MULTIPLAYER.Still, ya need ta get dis game mon. Peace.

I think that Rockstar is the best and most honest game publisher out there. I'm sorry, but if you've had a long day and are angry at everyone, than playing a game like Grand Theft Auto (III, Vice City, and San Andreas), Manhunt, or State of Emergency will ease your pain. State of Emergency can have something like 250 people at the max on screen at one time, which helps create the extreme sence of dread caused by the intense riots taking place. Of course this many people on screen at once mean alot of carnage in Chaos mode. Sure you can kill thousands of people, but there's usually a civillian casualty penalty which drains points, making it more challenging. The Revolution missions are pretty challenging, they really push you to your limit. Close minded adults think it's right to outlaw these types of games and take away the free enterprise that Rockstar deserves and has earned. Another thing: people often think that if you kill someone in a Rockstar game like GTA or State of Emergency that you'll be praised and glorified, WRONG. The GTA atmosphere is realistic. If you ruthlessly kill someone in public you will be punished by law enforecment foreces. Likewise in State of Emergency if you do decide to gun down thousands of people than special enforcment SWAT type soldiers will come afteryou, surround you, and beat the living **** out of you. Enjoy!

While I love the idea of the game- taking part in a modern day revolution- the game gets old real fast. All you do is go around killing all of the police that you come by, and doing small tasks for those who tell you what to do. You can shoot the innocent bystanders if you really want to (but in a real revolution why would you want to do that anyway?).

The point is that in shooter games like Doom, Red Faction, etc. at least other people are attacking you as well. In military strategy games such as SOCOM II and the type, you have to strategize. Killing EVERYBODY you feel like in an extremely overpacked mall (such as level 1) is just kind of childish. So if playing games that have absolutely no real point to them is your gig, have fun kiddies.

Rockstar was the king of the moment with their huge success with Grand Theft Auto 3 for the Playstation 2. People were hoping for the same quality game when they heard about State of Emergency...

Unfortunatly, the quality was alot less...

Instead of a realistic cartoon world of violence, State of Emergency gave people a horrible anime cheap arcade game. To compare this game to Grand Theft Auto is to compare need for speed with crazy taxi.

Sure a game like Crazy Taxi is fun, but after 5 minutes you realize how cheap the game is and how repetative it becomes. The same is true for State of Emergency.

Total=2.85

You might not regret owning it for about 5 dollars. I feel bad for the people who paid full price.

Don't they test and play games before they sell them??? geez!
