I got this to work with my Vista CX on my bike. It does work, but only the bar clamp itself is needed for that model of GPS. The Vista CX comes with a fitting to use with the stock battery-pack cover that is better than the one you get with this clamp. I was warned that the replacement battery cover that comes with this will not allow space for the sd card, and since the GPS is useless without it, that's no good. Also, the stock cover is rubberized to keep water out, which this one is not. Don't use this battery cover, use the one that comes with the CX. Maybe other models require this battery cover and don't interfere with the memory cards.

So, the package costs more than it should for users with this gps. I got a second one directly from Garmin for less, since it only had the clamp. To be fair, though, this clamp puts the GPS futher forward on the bar than the other one I got, which keeps it out of the way of your knee when climbing out of the saddle.


Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - mount works with Legend Cx
Just to emphasize the other person's observations, do not use the new back that comes with the mount. Just use the belt-clip that screws into the rear of the device to clip into the mount.

I do wish that the mount, however, could fit both standard and oversize bars.

UPDATE: It does fit an oversize bar. Whoops! Also, the GPS does vibrate a bit over rough road. So I supplement the mount with a rubber band. The combination works well.

The handlebar mount works well and holds the gps securely
in place. I didn't give it 5stars because if the latch release get full of sand or dirt its a hard to get it to release the gps unit from the bar clamp


Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Perfect for eTrex Legend Cx
I received this bicycle mount bracket this week. The other reviewers are right that the included back does not fit a Legend Cx because of the extra space required for the memory card under the battery cover. However both my older Legend C and my new Legend Cx came with an attachment clip that screws onto the back. That Garmin included attachment clip fits just fine on this bracket.

The bracket came with two sizes of rubber inserts to help fit different size handlebars. I selected one. Screwed it on, attached the clip to the back of my Cx and snaped it in place. Great! Now I can have the GPS for my bike rides. The bonus for me is I can turn the back light on to a low brightness setting for early morning rides in the dark. I can see the speed, distance, and moving time display in large letters.

I love this thing. I put on my little legend and it tells me everything I need to know about my bike rides as far as speed and distance is concerned.
