Agreed this program has a few hitches. The interface is a little too jazzed up for a graduate student, there is no print function and the scores earned are lower than actual, but I think this package on the whole is worth it.

I used this CD as my primary means of learning. With the customized learning program it lets you concentrate on what is important to you. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to learn at home.

This applies to the GRE, but I looked at the other CDs and they are similar.

My diagnostic, before studting: 1420. After studying: 1830 Actual GRE: 2000.

The CD provides an individualized program of study for you based upon your diagnostic. The lessons are pretty good and provide some basic tips that will help you eliminate wrong answers and guess correctly if you don' t know the answer.

There is also a very good vocab tool which allows you to go through the several hundred vocab words, selecting the ones you don't know to come back to later. After you've gone through them all you can review just those ones you selected.

I used this for the GMAT so I can't speak for the other cds in this pack. I'm writing to dispel some of the customer reviews I've seen here. The software is not perfect, I came across a few bugs that crashed it and I had to restart my machine before I could use the software again. That said, I've run into much worse problems with other test prep software applications.

This item is very good because not only does it offer the standard lessons, it has a lot of tests on each topic/type of question as well as several CAT tests. You can see how long the test is going to take, there's a clock icon to turn the time remaining on or off. I think the other reviewer must have missed this. As for not being able to skip over the audio portions (another reviewer's comment), this is simply not true. Hitting escape does the trick.

Some of the best features of this software are the flash cards that test key concepts, games that improve your speed and a feature that lets you compare your scores to the averages of a given school.

- Disappointing and Inaccurate
This review applys to the GMAT software included in this software bundle. I was quite frustrated with this software. Yes, there are some good lessons and practice tests here, but I think your money might be better spent buying a book and using the FREE software provided by the GMAT organization. The navigation and sophistication of this tool were disappointing. Examples of this include the following points: 1) Navigation is extremely unintuative. Expect to spend a couple of hours learning how to use the software. This is especially frustrating because what could be an easy tool is made difficult by the unneeded flash of a confusing interface. 2) When you are taking a test there is no explanation of how long the test will take. Some are short, some mid length, others the are the same length as the GMAT test. The full length practice tests are obvious in their length but the others keep you guessing. 3) There is no way to print out lessons worthy of later review. You can review the test problems you miss, but you can't print them out for later review. 4) The software is slow. I understand some lag while the test software attempts to figure out the next question, but waiting between menus seems ludicrous. 5)Worst of all, the software was rating me at a level over 100 points less then what I actually ended up receiving on the GMAT. I took the PowerPrep sample test given out free by the GMAT organization (see their website) and it scored me within 10 points.
