- Interesting story
Baldurs Gate, is probably one of the better role playing games on the market today. It has some good characters, along with a riviting story line that will keep you hooked as you play it. The music is great, and the graphics are very good for a computer game. There is a wide list of characters and NPC's that will help your character on their quest. And the best part of this game, is that the controls are actually easy to use, so you arent stressing yourself out to looking for the right buttons to use in your battles. I rate this game at 4 stars because it could be a little longer, and a little better, but for 19.99 it is definately a game worth buying.

Linear plot line, good characters, and very well taken from the original AD&D game! A must have for all RPG and gaming fans alike!

Graphics are great, gameplay is excellent, wide variety of character types to choose from, lots of different kinds of weapons and armor, lots of sidequests, great replay value. That said, like any game, it has a couple of problems. Bad computer intelligence. You can be fighting a strong warrior, and have one guy run in circles while the other five hit him with arrows and missile weapons, and the guy you're fighting won't ever stop chasing that one dude. That makes parts of the game a little too easy. The other problem i've noticed is that sometimes it gets to where you can't do something without worrying about messing up. When you talk to guys, you have to be careful or the flaming fist (law enforcement) will come and kill you, or you might accidently miss a powerful item. The last problem with the game is the leveling up. The exp. cap only lets you get to around level 8 or 9 by the end of the game. All in all, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. This game is one of the best I've played. It's definitely worth buying for a true rpg fan.

well the setting up of a charecter takes a good chunk of time and the first few minutes drag on but the other charecters and the interaction is pretty well on par with other games in the genra i enjoyed the game and i like the weopons and the addaptability of the game you can do quests in any configuration and you dont need to finnish them right off the bat

This is a good game. It has lots of fun and you cant quite turn it off. I say to myself just a few minutes and next I know a few hours have passed. My only misgiving is that the game does not give enough insight into what you do next. I go to a place and it takes a few tries to figure out what next. Otherwise great game.
