I found this book very insightful and rich in scripture regarding how to raise daughters to be godly. I don't have a teenager yet but realize the importance of raising my daughter to have good morals at an early age (she is 7). The only downer for the book was that it was a bit overwhelming and I felt like it was rather depressing in regards to the difficulties in raising daughters in such an ungodly world. It made me a bit more paranoid and worrisome than I was before I read it!

This book is very informative, deep and truthful. It will help to deal with the reality our kids are facing daily.

Buy this book along with "Teenvirtue: Real Issues, Real Life...A Teen Girl's Survival Guide "!!! Ms. Courtney gives great advice for bringing up a moral, responsible daughter in a world where tweens and teens are constantly bombarded with messages to be sexy and erotic. Any mom will find her advice both practical and reassuring. The "Teenvirtue" book talks frankly to girls in language that they can understand without being preachy, and reinforces the message that what the media presents as the 'perfect' image of women is anything but. Highly recommend.

I thank Vickie Courtney for writing a book that every mother of a tween or teen girl ought to read. It is full of godly advise on how to stear our daughters through the maze of growing up amid this post-Christian era of easy sex, immorality, and immodesty.

It stresses that our daughter are God's girls, and that we are the caretakers of His Gift while under our care. Many Scriptures are used to back up her points, and much wise advise is given.

I ordered 10 of this book to lend to moms of my girl students!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Vicki Courtney. When I started reading this book, I told my husband that someone has finally written a book on raising godly daughters that is exactly what I would have written if I were a writer (which I'm not). This book is very well written; it's humorous and chocked full of scripture to back up everything discussed in the book. It's easy to read and very straightforward. I want to send this book to everyone I know who has a daughter. I'm so glad to see other moms feel the same way about the media, clothing, appearances, relationship, etc. May this remind Christian parents that their daughter is not their own, but God's, and that we are held to a higher standard than the world's standard. This is a definite read for all moms w/daughters.
