- One of the best, but not THE BEST.
This book along with a CD is a very good source for those who want to practice for TOEFL in about 2 months(minimum). I used it but I have not taken the test yet. The disadvantage of this book is that it contains mostly the Academic texts. All Readings and Listening part are related to academic topics. In that order, may be Longman's is a better choice because or variety in text topics (not limited to academic). It contains 7 modeled tests which are very helpful and will significantly increase your skills and self confidence. The book is not elementary, therefore if you are looking for a elementary book with step by step explanation and many examples, you better start with Longman's. This book is for someone who is ready for the test and just need a fine tuning, though have at least 2 months ahead!

I took the test in March. With the help of this book my score was 106!! In my opinion it is the best preparatory option, because it contains high level tests which indeed will prepare you. If you want to get a good score I would also recommend you to buy the official book.

- Good Audio CD Package
It has been more than enough to me. If you want to use the book "TOEFL iBT - Internet Based Test 2006-2007", you have to purchase that Audio CD Package, because most of the book exercises require the CD package. Furthermore, that CD package also comes with model tests. You do not need to buy the book with CD-ROM, but only the book.

Barron's has always been a trustable study books.
I study TOEFL with this book in class.
If you study by yourself, you'll defenitely need to buy Audio CDs together.
They're really good.
Model tests really help.
Always try to keep the time and one after one another model test,
you'll see some improvement.
TOEFL test is not so difficult after you study for it.

The book does not come with a DVD and instead uses a CD. Unfortunately I made the mistake of not reading the product description and bought the book. It is useful but it could have been better had it made use of the available technology (DVD). Still, it is a worthwhile product.
