The game is amazing, the best basketball game for the PS3 that I have tried. Ordering from Amazon was a little frusterating this time. Although the shipping was considered free, the US Postal Service took twice as long as UPS or FedEx. Also, I tried ordering something else to include with this order almost immediately after placing it. Amazon said the order was already filled and I couldn't add anything else even though it didn't ship for 4 more days.

NBA 2k series has always been my favorite basketball video game. 2K9 brings the greatest basketball simulation that exceed their predecessor. You have to put a lot of effort to score a basket. I found it hard to win a game relying on one player driving all around the court like what I did on 2k7 or 2k8. The defense is more competitive with the offense since the D-Lock on feature from 2k8.

- I shudder to think about how many times this game has frozen my PS3.
Simply an unacceptable release of an unready product. When you finally manage to successfully launch a game online, the inexcusably awful and arbitrary free-throw shooting mechanism almost renders the game unplayable. Winning a close game basically boils down to who's feeling more hot at the charity stripe. Also why can't we challenge our friends online? I used to be an NBA Live fan and other EA Sports game, mainly Madden. But I remember playing demos when I bought the PS3 and was comparing what I like better. There was NBA 2K7, NBA Live 07, and NBA 07. 2K7 just was just more realistic to me and had better gameplay. I play it with my little brother and friends, and it's just the small details that make it better then the rest. Players wear their signature shoes and even the real shots that players do. awesome game as usuall but online doesnt work, that brings value way down in my opinion because i bought it to play online, hopefully they will fix the servers soon. Its great to play w/ friends but no online right now limits your fun a lot
