Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?

With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience. If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get. Minimum size = Viewing distance/3 Maximum size=Viewing distance/1.5

Rating: - Great TV, Price and Delivery
Set was delivered today, six working days after order. CEVA hooked up
set to cable box and did basic setup. No problems with surface
scratches as some have reported, but sound is marginal. Comcast will be over next week to add (H)DVR box and service.

The price at Amazon is $520 less (400 + 120 tax) than at Dell or
Best Buy. Throw in free shipping and setup - hard to beat!

Rating: - Excellent Picture Quality and great price
I did a lot of research before buying this tv and the latest Consumer reports rating sold it for me. I have been very impressed with the picture quality of the tv on both SD and HD channels. I have it connected to an antenna so I use the built in digital tuner which works very well. I pick up more channels with the Samsung than my old digital tuner tv.

Out of the box the audio quality is poor, but you can change the EQ settings in the menu to make it sound pretty good for watching ...
