The Calisto Pro phone operates on DECT 6.0 frequency, which means that call clarity is not affected by Wi-Fi networks or home appliances, such as the microwave, and you can roam up to 300 feet from the base without suffering any degradation in sound quality.

Streamlined, Ergonomic Design
The Plantronics Calisto Pro features a streamlined and elegant look that's designed to reduce desktop clutter. The base doubles as a one-stop docking and charging station, and holds both the Bluetooth headset and the compact handset. It includes a USB port that lets you connect to your PC to sync your Outlook contacts in a matter of minutes (the handset has the capacity to hold up to 200 Outlook contact with three phone numbers each) and connect to either your Yahoo! Voice or Skype VoIP service.

The compact handset docks neatly into the base and includes all the calling features you'd expect in a phone, including caller ID, call waiting, 3-way conferencing, redial, speed dial, and more. It features a large, high-resolution LCD for easy viewing and offers up to eight hours of talk time, or 120 hours of standby time, away from the base. A flip-up waist clip lets you carry the handset with you hands-free as you roam.

The Bluetooth headset also offers up to eight hours of talk time, or 240 hours of standby time, per charge, and can be used with your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone wherever your travels take you. And because the headset's features a superior noise-canceling microphone with an extended mouthpiece, you'll never have to worry about sound quality.

- great for home office and cell phone calls
We purchased this phone/headset in August for a home office and it works great. There are 4-6 hours of conference calls a day and other folks on the line can hear whomever is using this, just fine. Clear sound, easy mute, can walk around the house with just the headset and leave the handset in the base if needed. Also, we take the earpiece on the road with our bluetooth cell phones and it works equally fine in that situation. Only quibble is that the number keys are a bit small and some care ... Read More

I work from home and am on the phone often. I needed to replace a wired headset that no longer worked well and I was tired of being tethered to the desk. I read many reviews here on Amazon before settling on the Calisto Pro.

The headset is comfortable to wear and works well in my office. One thing I don't like is that if you're wearing the headset, you still have to turn it on each time a call comes in or when dialing out. By default, all calls go to the handset first.

Ordered the Plantronics because I sometimes work at home, but am still attached to corporate phone system via a VPN. I was using a normal wireless internal house phone and an earphone/microphone that plugs into the wireless phone via the 3/32nds inch plug on the side. When walking around the home office, I would constantly catch the cord on something, pulling the phone off the beltclip or the earplug from my ear.

The title says it all. The sound quality is amazingly clear and the headpiece fits perfectly. I work from home and this phone has been one of the best additions to my office in a long time.
