Now the Sims can become even more realistic by having hobbies! Each Sim has a pre-picked hobby they enjoy. Some hobbies include: music and dance, sports, arts and crafts, nature, science, cusisine and tinkering. Now you can build trainboards (caution can kill Sims!), restore cars, hunt bugs, make pottery, you can now have secondary aspirations, and discover secret lots. Alot of fun, makes your Sims more unique! Pretty fun

This expansion is great. I love that you can fix up a car with another sim. That you can build up your hobbies and get a membership card for your hobbies, and visit those places. That you can enter contests. There are alot of thngs that will keep you busy with this addition. I FULLY recommand buying this product and I cannot wait for The Sims 3 to come out soon.

The Sims 2: FreeTime - Rocks!!!
It's cute seeing their new hobby aspirations to fufill --
Currently my sim couple have the "NATURE" and "MUSIC AND DANCE" aspiration so in example I spend my time fuffilling their aspiration for Nature: Hunting bugs, Birdwatching, Gardening, Interacting with Pets, and pretty much anything outdoors. I also love that they can use their computers now to "blog about" or "browse the web" for their aspiration.

Hi. I am an avid sims player. I have LOVED the sims since they first came out with the orginal game. I have most of all the expanisions and thought this one would add so much to the game itself.
When I purchased the game after reading the review I truly thought this would put so much dimension in the game and give them so much more to do as I play. Well, this was NOTHING like I expected. For those wishing to buy Sims 2 Free time, then I'll say this: Get this addition to this Sims World mostly if you're already a big fan. If you're still new to the game, then purchase the previous adds like Open For Business or University. Free Time brings to the Sims more distraction and the characters has a lot new range of actions. At the same time, those new hobbies aren't exactly important to the game itself. It is exactly what it is, an add-on.
