The HP Photosmart C6280 produces lab-quality, fade-resistant photo prints by using a six-ink color system for accurate color reproduction. The scanner uses a Contact Image Scanner (CIS) for scans at up to 4800 dpi optical resolution with a scan size of up to 8.6 by 11.7 inches. The copier supports pages up to this size as well and you can make up to 50 copies in one pass. Color copies are supported and there are settings for enlarging and reducing from 50 to 400 percent. - Excellent Pringer
This is one of the best photo printers I have seen. I like the fact that it uses different ink cartrages for different colors. It will save money in the long run since you only need to replace the color that is empty. In my opinion HP makes the best printers.

But I can't believe the sudden price jump to $199.99 on Amazon! It is still only $149.99 plus tax, with free shipping, when ordered directly from the HP site.

I purchased the HP Photosmart C6280 recently and was waiting for time to hook it up to my computer (XP). My son came over to visit and I mentioned that I had got a new printer but hadn't taken the time to install it (I secretly hoped he would volunteer to do it). He had it out of the box and I was printing with it within a half hour. So I concluded that it didn't give any problems during a simple installation.

OK, I'll admit that I cheat and read everyone else's rewiews, complaints, recommendations, and lessons learned BEFORE I buy, so I have a lot less problems with it than some have mentioned.
