Nice and compact, excellent quality! With over 40 in use, we've had no problems, great little photo printer.

I picked this little printer up at best buy for a mere 39.99 and for the price my expectations were not sky high. I got home, set it up, fired up Adobe Lightroom and started printing. At first i chose a picture that was taken at night indoors in low light with flash, as soon as it finished (around 45 seconds) i was sorely disappointed. The picture was VERY dark, i picked it up and compared it to my monitor and threw it in the trash. I then proceeded to print a very bright picture of a sunflower taken ... Read More

Just got the printer from Amazon to discover Canon was too cheap to supply a USB cable to hook this beast to my computer. Let's figure USB cables add about 15 cents to the cost of the printer (my vendor charges me a buck, and I'm not a multinational company), and Canon can't even supply this basic necessity. It tells you everything else you need to know about this printer with the just decent image quality, large footprint and awful customer service.

I can't lie...I bought this printer simply because a friend of mine has it and I've seen firsthand how much better the images look compared to those I print on my inkjet. Hands down, the dye-sublimination thermal prints are 10x better. Ever notice how the color black looks...almost like a shadow or crayon marks on inkjet prints when you hold them at a certain angle in the light? (Especially on lower gloss paper?)
