- Network Failure
I bought this specifically to be a networked computer (wired). First major issue was installation. Kept getting error messages and some of the HP software installed could not see the computer even though I could see it on my network. At this point it would print. After much grief trying to get the installation to go without getting error messages (and after Googling the issue and looking at their support site), I wrote HP and was informed that this was just the way it is if the computer is hooked ... - Good quality prints but what is it doing???
First of all, I love the print quality. It easily detects photos vs documents and chooses the correct paper to print on. I like the separate ink catridges and software has level indicators. Also, the card reader is nice and with the display screen you can easily navigate your pictures on storage cards.

But, most of the time it is busy doing some sort of preparation. Its takes several minutes to get ready, reads ink levels, does a song and a dance spins around touches its nose and takes ... Read More

The HP Photosmart D7460 printer is amazing! I bought this printer to replace an HP Photosmart 7450 which had been giving me some trouble (white lines through print, etc.) and I wish I had done it sooner. The D7460 takes up a bit more room on the desk, but it makes up for it in quality, ease of use and setup (could they make the cartridges easier to install? I don't think so. I needed a replacement for an older printer of mine (also HP) that had died...I looked around and decided on the D7460 for a lot of reasons. I challenge anyone to find a wireless printer in this price point that has all the functionality of the D7460. Simply put, this printer rocks! It prints b&w with ease and the colors on photos are simply beautiful.
