The Magellan Roadmate 3000T provides you with convenient keypad controls for quick access to its simple touch-screen menu, making navigation easier than ever on its 3.5-inch screen with 320 x 240 pixels of resolution and 64,000 colors. You can enter any address and easily navigate to virtually any destination, or select from over six-million pre-programmed POIs (Points of Interest) to find nearby gas stations, restaurants, ATMs, airports and more. You can even tap an on-screen POI icon to get instant information about nearby services, and get an automatic route to whatever you need. Designed with the user in mind, this navigator is easy to operate from either left- or right-handed driving, and has an industrial look that compliments any vehicle.

The Roadmate 3000T displays your location, and provides you with intuitive visual routing to your objective in a traditional birds-eye, or 3D view for a clear understanding of your surroundings. At a glance you can see the remaining distance to your destination with an estimated time of arrival, as well as the distance from and direction of your next turn, and even the GPS signal strength. This unit features several routing options, such as shortest time, shortest distance, and least use or most use of freeways, as well as multiple route optimization, automatic route recalculation, and progress tracking. The 3000T has SmartDetour for automatic routing around sudden slow-downs on the freeway, and is even traffic ready so you can add Magellan's TrafficKit and receive live traffic incident reports with detailed information that appears on-screen in order to avoid accidents, road work, lane closures and other tie-ups, even including severe weather conditions. For added safety, this navigator includes selectable turn-by-turn voice instructions so you can keep your eyes on the road while you drive.

More than just a navigator, the Roadmate 3000T has a built-in music player so you can listen to your favorite songs through the integrated speaker, or over headphones (not included) via the headphone jack. What's more, this handy unit includes a photo viewer that lets you either take your family photos with you when you travel, or view your vacation pictures while you are still on the road. A truly all-in-one system, the 3000T even features Bluetooth wireless technology with a built-in microphone so you can make hands-free calls with any Bluetooth-enabled phone while still keeping both hands securely on the wheel.

Constructed to withstand the occasional bumps and knocks, this refurbished Roadmate 3000T has a high-impact plastic case, and comes pre-loaded with maps of the 50 United States, as well as Puerto Rico, Canada, and the US Virgin Islands. - Good GPS system but not without glitches
I have been using this system for about a year now and have found it to be easy and fast to use. I use it at least 5 times a day with my job and have noticed the maps are dated. I also have a garmin nuvi200 and the Roadmate3000t seems quicker and easier to set a destination. I did a software update about 3 months ago and ever since the unit seems to just freeze up randomly as I drive around. It takes a hard reboot the get the unit responsive again. - Very disappointing, lousy tech support, stay away!
This RoadMate 3000T is my third Magellan product I've owned and by far THE most disappointing. I've come to expect good, high-quality products like my original GPS 315 from Magellan that still perform excellently many years since I first purchased it.

In this particular case, not only did the 3000T come with old maps, but it frequently "locks up" making the product unusable. Its an obvious defect that I expected Magellan would handle professionally, courteously, and without hassle. ... Read More

I read some other reviews before I purchased this product and since owning it I have made a few observations of my own. First the navigation system will only be as good as the map which the unit contains. We all know that they are always working on and adding new roads so to keep the accuracy the map must be upgraded. Megellan has a new one hopefully coming out in September. Secondly the user must know and understand how to use the GPS. It is not hard but you must understand it. If you type something ... I got the device like month ago. It works for about 2 weeks then the system freezes and reset the device didn't make it to work. However, I have to agree that it works well in first 2 weeks. The device is little bigger than regular same 3.5 LCD devices. The physical button makes the device a plus.
