Touch screen interface.
Use the D2's stylus touchpen for navigating your player's contents. It also doubles as a kickstand for extended viewing. The "Virtual Click" overlay navigation function lets you enjoy the convenience of navigating through the other contents in your player while watching video. Detailed information such as file size, pixel, format can be viewed while browsing through files. The direct searching feature allows you to move instantly to the position you've clicked on from the progress bar while you're playing music or movies.

Don't limit yourself. The D2 will play MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, APE and WAV file formats. ID3 support lets you browse your files by artists, genres, and albums. The MP Enhance feature compensates for sound quality lost in compression. Cowon's JetAudio VX software is used to create high-compression files for quality playback on COWON D2, and use Jetshell to play and manage your multimedia library

- Small wonder
The sound quality is absolutely amazing. I also love the screen. I never expected it to be useful for anything but music, and now I find that it really is a great little photo viewer, and even adequate--more than adequate--for watching movies. Downside? It's not easy to use, and the manual is worthless. The PDF version of the manual is a little better than nothing, but my nephew and the Cowon email support system were a necessary part of my D2 success story. Quite simply...this has the most power and sound quality on the market today. I've done a lot of research. I can't believe how good these sound ...with clear power to spare!

- Great for Audio Books with 2.51 firmware
Excellent player for audio books due to its bookmarking ability. Interfaces seamlessly with the Overdrive Audio Books software used by my library after I "Downgraded" to the 2.51 firmware. I had upgraded to the 2.54 version, but it became difficult to download books, and then the books would not play.

I also would highly recommend the leather carrying case (search for item #B000WPGLL0) sold here by JetAudio. It has a leather flap which protects the screen.

Great player has everything you could want in a player, great sound too. The only con is the fonts is too small ever after downloading the upgrade. The best on the market in my opinion!!!!

I previously owned a Cowon U2, Very small but excellent quality. I was looking for something with a bigger display and more features. The Cowon D2 does that and more. Lots of features, music, movies, pictures, audible, fm radio, voice recorder, notepad, newer firmware has 2 calculators, constant firmware upgrades.
