The Brother MFC-8860DN is a 5-in-1 multi-function center that combines automatic duplex (two-sided) printing, copying, scanning, and faxing and includes a built-in Ethernet network interface for easy connectivity. With several features in one compact model, the MFC-8860DN helps save space while increasing workplace productivity. Perfect for small to medium-size businesses or workgroups, the MFC-8860DN offers every function and feature your workgroup needs to increase efficiency and save time.

This compact unit delivers print and copy speeds up to 30 pages per minute (ppm) and 1200 x 1200 dot-per-inch (dpi) print resolution, so you can count on professional results with every job. The 50-sheet multipurpose tray is convenient for printing envelopes, transparencies, letterhead, or even various types of card stock, while the automatic duplex capability means you can copy or scan two single-sided documents and produce a copy or store a scan as a single two-sided page, thereby saving paper and freeing space. The MFC-8860DN also features a high-yield replacement toner cartridge that is as economical as it is efficient. Finally, to help quickly share information, the Ethernet, USB, and parallel interfaces provide the option to install this model on a network for multiple users or via USB or parallel for a single user.

In addition, the MFC-8860DN offers a 50-sheet paper tray that adjusts to accommodate letter- or legal-size paper, and an optional 250-sheet paper tray to increase your total paper capacity. The user-friendly, intuitive five-line LCD displays up to 22 large characters per line and is backlit for easy reading and scrolling, no matter what the lighting conditions. This product is great. It handles faxes with ease, prints quickly and makes easy work out of copying. I am extremely happy with the quality of the product as well. We are an office of about 25, and someone is always doing something with it, so we have spent a lot of time using every aspect of the brothers capailities. I highly recommend.

Why?
1. The lowest cost per page toner of any machine in its class. To get lower toner costs you have to go to furniture size equipment.
2. The scanner/copier has a built in 50 page feeder tray that WORKS. This is often an expensive additional option with most other brands.
3. Trouble free and jam free operation most of the time. The only time I have had paper jams is when trying to print on really cheap (thin) paper) or feeding the scanner with paper that was badly folded or had ... Read More

this printer would not print correctly immediately after install. I checked all troubleshooting ideas and FAQ's. No luck the print was unreadable.

This is my 2nd Brother Printer and I love it. The duplex feature works quicker then I expected. I also utilize the fax/e-mail quite a bit. Good support software to manage printer settings from any PC on my network.

This all-in-one is easy to use, a very solid performer, and cheap to operate. I use it to run a small business and it is my most important piece of office equipment. It prints and copies quickly. I have had trouble scanning into an easy-to-email format, but that may be due to my technical ineptitude. I would buy it again.
