Product Description: eneloop is a new type of battery, which satisfies your needs and expectation in an unique way. This battery can be used right after purchasing, has a high performance, has a long shelf life with no loss of energy, can be used everywhere, environmentally friendly and easy to use. Unlike disposable batteries which can only be used once and wasteful, eneloop batteries can be recharged replacing 1000 disposable batteries.

I had a job the day I got the batteries, so I took them with
me as back-ups without charging them. I actually had to use them
and they worked great. I took 100 pictures with flash and
they were fine without even charging them. Now I have another job
so I wanted to kill the batteries so I can fully charge
it 900 PICTURES later and they just won't fricken die!!!!
All these pictures were taken with flash. I haven't even
charged them and I'm trying to kill them ... Read More

I was using NiMH AA batteries in my digital camera. I charge them, put them in the camera, maybe a week or two would go by and I'd grab the camera to take a photo and the batteries were dead. I have not had this problem with eneloop batteries. Shame they are not available locally.

These are the only batteries I can use with my digital camera.
Other rechargeable batteries I have tried (SONY) must be charged right before usage (which takes a few hours). This greatly restricts how I can use the devices that need them. I don't plan ahead 8 hours before I use my digital camera. Taking a picture should be a spontaneous event.

I haven't had these batteries long enough to judge their life per charge, but so far they seem to be doing really well, so no issues there.
My problem is with the D (and possibly C) spacers (adapters) that come with these batteries. I purchased these mainly for use in flashlights, and other regularly used items. To my dismay, the D spacers do not work in my Mag-Lite 3 cell (D) flashlights. I'm sure this is going to be an issue with other flashlights as well. A normal feature of flashlights, ... Read More

I bought 2 packs of these batteries for use in my radio control transmitter. They came precharged and I just popped them in to the transmitter. They lasted over 3 weeks of heavy use. I charged them and put them back in the transmitter and they have been in use about 2 weeks but not as much. With a full charge I am anticipating they will last longer this time. I give these 5 stars because my alkaline batteries only lasted 4-6 weeks.
