It works although don't assume that it's perfect. It works best if you speak in long "stream of consciousness" sentences. In that context, it's nearly 100% accurate. On the other hand, if you're dictating shorter, business-like sentences with frequent starts and stops, it's a little less accurate. In my business setting, it's best to dictate large concepts and just get the information into the machine. I bought Dragon Naturally Speaking 9 Preferred because I do a lot of internet research. I was hoping to relieve arm and finger fatigue after hours of clicking and scrolling. I believed the manufacturer's claims that it works for browser commands. But it has a low accuracy rate. If I want to scroll down 5 spaces, I say, "go down five".
