Use any IR remote to control home theater components housed in cabinets. You don't need to leave cabinet doors open whenever you're enjoying your home theater. By setting up the Hidden IR infrared signal distribution system in your entertainment center, you'll be able to control up to 8 A/V devices secured in closed cabinets or closets up to 65 feet away using your existing IR remote control. This home theater accessory is so easy to use, it sets up in minutes and requires no drilling or rewiring. Your friends will think you had a pro install it! You can link your Hidden IR system to your A/V system in minutes. Just place the Hidden IR repeater box in your equipment cabinet, affix one of the eight included IR emitters to each A/V device's IR window, and mount the IR receiver using the included Velcro tape in a location where it can receive your IR remote control's transmitted signals. Place the IR receiver on a shelf, on an exposed part of the cabinet, or even behind a speaker grille. Use your A/V remote control as usual: The Hidden IR will transmit your command to the correct home theater component, so you'll be able to use your entertainment devices as usual, even though they'll be out of sight. A confirmation LED blinks when the Hidden IR system is receiving a remote control command, otherwise remaining unlit.

- Fantastic Solution for Hidden A/V Components
Just set this product up over the weekend and it works great, first time, right out of the box. Recently moved into a new house with a tight living room- no room for A/V components. In fact the only place to put the TV was over the fireplace. Other stuff- DVD, Cable Box, Stereo, had to go in a closet around the corner.

Set up was a breeze- stick the small receivers over the "eye" of each component (up to 8), and then run these receiver wires to a small central box (about 2"x3"x1"). ... Read More

My AV equipment is right on the other side of the wall from my home theater. I literally had this system up and running in minutes. It works perfectly. I was shocked at how simple it was to install and how well it worked. It's the best price I found on a remote extender.

I purchased the Hidden IR system to hide all of the boxes and cables supporting our flat-panel LCD TV in a closet - leaving just the screen on the wall. Absolutely one of the coolest man-toys ever. My wife is also very happy that I got all of the cables out of the room. A real win-win.

- Delivered on basic promise
The product worked almost as advertised, but... the information on the site and packaging says that you can use it on equipment up to 65 feet away, however it fails to mention that you'll need to purchase expensive extension mini-cable (even shopping for a deal it still cost another $50). The IR works well and in the end it met my needs, I just wish they were up front about only having about 12 feet of cable in the box.
