- Good Worksite Radio
I've used this boombox at a worksite for the past few months now. Already it has survived a 6 foot fall onto concrete with only minor scratching. It is loud enough to be heard over generators and air compressors and lasts a solid week on batteries when used for 9 hours a day on high volume. The line-in jack is a great feature for working in areas with poor radio reception.

This radio would have gotten five stars except the antenna came apart when extended for the first time.
I work in a fleet truck and auto repair shop. It gets very dusty and smoky in there. The seals around everything make me think it will outlast the last few radios.
Good sound, MP3 player, radio presets are all good features.

I rate it a buy.

I bought this radio with its features in mind. It has the ability to let you plug in an auxillary music source, and plays MP3s. I have used it both ways and as an ordinary radio. It has great sound and contrary to another review has plenty of volume. It is a bit large, doesn't have a remote, and the ac adapter is heavy. Overall I would buy it again.

ok so this will sound wierd but I got this for my dog who is afraid of thunder. We had an old boom box that wore out so decided to get a new one. He says to tell you that this one is AOK. We also needed one for when out power goes out - which is often. So we are very happy with this purchase. - both dog and family. What more can you ask for???!!!

I bouhgt this unit to use in less than ideal environments (outside, garage, around wet or dusty environments). The unit is heavier than I thought but it doesnn't feel especially sturdy. The plastic seems like it will break easily. Battery life is poor (maybe 8 hours on 6 "D" cells) and the sound volume is on the weak side. The sound quality, however, is good.
