The LG 225 features a sleek, lightweight clamshell design boasting an internal 65,536 color LCD display that is 128 x 160 pixels. There is also a large 96 x 64 pixel external 65,000 color LCD display which shows time, date, signal strength, battery life while in standby mode. When the phone receives a call, the external LCD displays Caller ID. For ease of use the phone has side volume keys and a one touch access to activate the digital camera. Inside the phone you will find a 5-way navigation key and two soft keys that make this phone extremely user friendly and easy to operate. There is also a dedicated speaker phone button for when you want to be truly hands free or when you need a group to participate in your call.

Calling Features
The phone has 32 chord Polyphonic Ringtones and vibrating alert. Unique ringtones and custom designed pictures can be assigned to specific callers so that you don’t have to look at the number to see who is calling. The built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone at your ear and the voice activated dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates easy and safe by just saying their names. You can store up to 500 entries in the phone book.

Messaging, Internet, and Tools
The LG 225 supports both text messaging and web browsing. T9 predictive text entry is included on the phone which enables you to easily send text messages and emails. While browsing the web you can download ring tones and wall papers to personalize and customize your phone. Web browsing gives you the ability to look up sports scores; read headline news; check the weather report by zip code or city; get the latest stock quotes and financial news; or enter your own URL and browse the web.

The LG 225 also includes several tools to enhance your life such as a scheduler which gives you the ability to set appointments in your calendar with reminders; an alarm clock; a notepad for jotting down things you wont want to forget; a world clock; easy tip calculator; and calculator.

- STI SAVED ME THOUSANDS
I make tons of calls to Europe, Hong Kong, China, Canada, and France.
I pay only $50 a month go figure. Yes there service can be bad at times.
If I added up all the calls I have made this month alone it would have been 1,860.20 I did the math. I make all these calls for FREE yes I did
say FREE for the $50 a month charge.
Hats off to you STI for saving me thousands

I agree with Chandu's comments. This used to be a great deal, prior to the daily fees which started just months after I got my phone, and still isn't bad but its not the best either. I too fell victim to the web browsing problem. I had read the fine print and knew they would do it so I emailed asking them to cancel it. - Great service at unbeatable prices!
If you live around a metro area so you don't need roaming, then STI Mobile will give you great phone service at 10 cents per day (that's only $3 a month!) plus 10 cents a minute most anywhere. And your service does not automatically expire after some 30 or 90 days like other phones. Is there any other phone like it? Their service was quick and curtious, and you can get your messages and balance for free using a land line.

STI is the worst service carrier ever. I called twice to make sure they can transfer the promotional air minutes to another existing account. But after I activated my cell phone, they ate their words.
At the same time, I found whenever I made a phone call, they charge me once the phone call is connected, even though no one answers the phone. This is one of their hidden charges.
My experience is so bad, I will never use their service again.

There was a time when STi was one of the best Pay as u go services until they added their every day fees. There is no way to look at your account usage which should be added now that they charge a fee. When you have to roam get ready to pull out your credit card cause it's extra in most areas.
