- Best in class.
This midi controller is the best in its price range without a doubt. I compared it to the Oxygen series. Yes the Axiom may have more features, but you will pay much more for that item. This controller blows the Oxygen line out of the water. Although the keys are not advertised as being weighted, each key has a small steel weight attached to the underside to give it a weighted feel. Nice controller, recently E-MU realease an update oh theri website since it was annoying to have two basic bugs. For further info please see E-MU website. Going back to the controller works perfect after updating it.

This controller is exactly what it's cracked up to be: affordable, versatile, and compact. The simple LCD feedback is surprisingly excellent, the keys, knobs, wheels all have a familiar, reliable feel. I simply plugged it into the usb, it got power, xp recognized it as a midi audio something or other, and I was immediately sending midi signals to Live.

Cons: One knob only registers ~100 degrees (not the full 270 or whatever). Not a big deal.

Great piece of hardware for a beginner (like me). Programming is a bit difficult, and I have yet to figure out how to use the included Proteus software, but overall a great product. Solid build quality. No problems at all.
