A feature-rich laser printer, the CLP-510 from Samsung is one of the most cost-efficient printers on the market, with a cost per page of as low as 1.1 cents. Built to withstand even heavy workloads, the CLP-510 has a 35,000-page monthly duty cycle and is compatible with PC, Mac, and Linux operating systems. With print resolutions up to 1200 dpi, you can create professional looking documents from your home or office. Print speeds are as fast as 25 ppm for monochrome, with a time-to-first-page of about 13 seconds.

The CLP-510 comes with a standard USB port and optionally supports Ethernet and wireless networks, providing expandability even for connected workgroups. With 64 MB of standard memory (expandable up to 194 MB) and Samsung's SPGPm processor, the CLP-510 can reliably handle large print jobs. An automatic duplexing unit lets you easily print double-sided documents. The 250-sheet standard paper tray is expandable up to 400 pages, and a second 100-sheet multi-purpose tray supports paper sizes up to 8.5 by 14 inches. The CLP-510 consumes less than 450 watts during normal printing and less than 17 watts in sleep mode. Samsung also provides a one-year limited warranty.

This is a terrible printer. I have had nothing but trouble with it since the install(which was easy. The print quality is marginal, the paper jams every day! I have tried 6 different paper types all the same result. The toner over spray or what ever the canister is under the front panel that is supposed to catch it leaks. The thing is noisy and poor quality. SATAY AWAY! I have an HP 4700 that is expensive but amazing, a Lexmark(noisy but great) and slew of B&W various models. NO other unit ... Read More

Note that the refills for the toner are over $100 each. Combine that with parts needing to be replaced within a year of over $300, and this is a very "disposable" printer.

Bought it new 3 months ago, it wrapped paper around one of the rollers, (an internal roller you cannot access), Samsung has put me around and around in circles for 2 weeks over a warranty repair. So, into the junk pile it goes - let the buyer beware, you get what you pay for! And the thing is, they don't even care if people never buy their products again. Too bad they couldn't just stand behind their warranty.....

I bought my clp-510 color laser printer more than two years ago. I've used it a ton and it's never jammed or done anything wrong. It just sits there and prints ream after ream of really nice color copy, two sided, brochure fold, whatever and I've never even had to replace an original cartridge (they're huge, part of why it's so big and heavy). I'm thinking I should buy a set of replacement toner cartridges because I'm fearful they'll stop making them. You know how it is, if something works this well ... Read More

I purchased the CLP-510 about 6 months ago. I occasionally use it to print photos, but usually it is web pages which are mostly black but some color. I also print things like google maps. I also purchased the network card accessory, in order to set this printer up as a network printer.

Pros: Good color, cheap, duplexing (many printers that cost twice this much don't do that). I have had none of the blurriness reported by other people.
