I bought this for my kid for Christmas 2 yrs ago. It was all he wanted (he was only 10). He promised to take good care of it - which he did. It's been fine until recently. It froze a couple of times, but I learned to reset (read: re-boot) the iPod, and it was fine. But a few weeks ago, he got the folder icon with the ! that's been mentioned by others.
