Productivity and quality
The L80 offers features such as a 30-sheet ADF, Super G3 facsimile technology, and a large fax memory. Printed faxes and documents will both have the same result--quality laser output. At speeds up to three seconds per page, the L80 is a speedy substitute for any older model fax machine.

Rich in features
Additional features include delayed sending, polling, and reception restriction to allow users to manage their fax operations more efficiently. Directory search allows a user to look up and dial the correct number by easily viewing the stored phone numbers in speed dials, coded dials, or registered groups.

- This fax is nothing but trouble
We get nothing but paper jams on outgoing as well as incoming. You can never do a multiple page fax as many pages go through. I literally have to hand feed any multiple page fax and make sure it goes through. Most times I have to send it twice. I would not buy this machine ever. It is going in the trash as soon as my new one comes in.

- Overall, a great machine
I use this in a small construction office. The fax is great. The copies are terrific. My only two negatives are that sometimes it pulls more than one sheet of paper - really annoying during a check run. And my machine sometimes spazzes into "Check paper size" error which is easily corrected by pressing the reset button a few times. Other than those items, a real workhorse. Definetely made me a Canon fan!

- not to be used with cordless phones.
i liked the product alot except the fact you can't connect a phone to this product. Even though it has a throughput jack it is intended only to be connected to an answering machine, so don't buy this product if you intend to hook it up to another device like say a coordless phone. the device doesn't have an autosensing feature where if you pick up the phone it'll turn the fax off or anything like that.

- Big, but dependable...
This L80 has been used in my insurance office for over a year and performs well. The cartridge died recently and I ordered a replacement from a vendor who neglected to advise me it was not in stock. While awaiting a delivery that wouldn't arrive, I saw that Amazon offered this model for under $90 and free 2 day prime shipping. I ordered my second L80, for home use. I own a small business and give mine a fairly heavy workout. The machine started and has always pulled multiple pages (I have tried diff paper types) when faxing. We have always needed to stay there and feed one page at a time, talk about a time killer for 20 page documents! After a year, it has started pulling multiple sheets from the feeder when printing.
