The PC140 personal copier is designed for students, small business and home office professionals. Easy-to-use features, portability and a compact stylish design make it ideal for the dorm room, home office, or small office environment. With easy-to-use features, the Canon PC140 has a copy speed of 4 copies-per-minute (cpm) for letter-size paper and can make up to 50 copies at a time with its 50-sheet stack tray that accepts postcard to letter-size paper. Like all Canon personal copiers, the PC140 offers virtually maintenance-free operation with Canon's exclusive Single Cartridge System. The revolutionary Single Cartridge System contains the drum, development unit and toner, offering virtually maintenance-free performance at just pennies per copy, all in one easy to replace cartridge. The copier's convenient design makes retrieving misfed paper a snap, and its pop-up handle makes the machine truly portable. The PC140 personal copier copies on a variety of papers including stationery, postcards, colored paper, transparencies and labels making it extremely versatile. Copy quality is exceptional with a choice of automatic or manual exposure control. Similar to the higher-end Canon PC900 Series models, the PC140 includes Canon's patented RAPID Fusing System, which provides instant warm-up and eliminates long waiting time. Auto shut-off is another built-in energy saving feature designed to automatically shut off the copier after approximately 5? minutes of non-use. The PC140 has a recommended monthly volume of 500 copies. The copier uses the E20 black cartridge, which provides approximately 2, 000 copies at 5% density. All of these features offer consumers superior value at a competitive price.

- PC 140 is fine copier
I received the PC 140 copier in good time and am enjoying it. The toner cartridge was not very good however, but I've ordered a new one. It was too soft, not good blacks.

Since I have no use for high speed, etc, but need some copies
of things sometimes, this little copier is perfect for my uses.
It requires little attention and does what I need it to do.
It is not sufficient for heavy volume, but is very very good for personal use.

Looked all around for reviews on this item, and was surprised to find nothing.

This is a smart product, with some great features which has worked flawlessly so far. It was out of the box and running in minutes, with hardly any instruction manual review required. Operation is smooth and quiet, and it starts instantly. Very intuitive operation.

- Kind of unusual, not that great
I just bought one of these. The first thing you notice when you try to make a copy is that unlike most flatbed copiers-- where an internal scanner mechanism moves, and the object being scanned stays still-- in this one, the whole top of the scanner, including the glass, moves back and forth, and the scanner element stays still. That's fine for scanning papers, but not so good for oddly shaped objects like books, since you can't really press down on the lid.
