The system employs Harman Kardon's Vmax technology to create a surround-sound-like acoustic hologram from the two speakers, each of which is equipped with twin aluminum-dome Odyssey transducers. This lets listeners enjoy the thrills of surround sound without messing with extra satellite speakers and the clutter of additional wires. Meanwhile, the powered subwoofer houses a Magnum series 5.25-inch transducer with a bass port that increases deep bass output. As with any good PC sound system, the HK695 includes soft pushbutton volume and mute controls, which are located on the right satellite speaker, plus bass and treble controls that sit atop the subwoofer. These speakers make a PC sound better than a Lexus. I especially like the dual tweeters in the champagne speakers, the sound is pure and the bass is solid. The bass, treble, and seperation controls are easy to set.

These speakers were advertised as beige, they were actually very dark gray, almost black. They were advertised as remanufactured, but were obviously used. The seller did not offer to reimburse me for the return shipping, which came to 13 dollars. I would not recommend doing business with this seller.

Best price I have seen on these speakers and you can't even tell that these are refurbs. I recommend these to everyone.

I bought these speakers about a year ago, and they worked SUPER well until I packed them up to move. From the point that I unpacked them they made a consistent (and loud) crackling noise that really effects the sound of the music. Not only that, but now I am unable to make the speakers go any louder than low volume. These started out well, but with a little stress on them they completely crapped out.
