Probably the best topographic mapping program out there in terms of details, but once again has that difficult to use DeLorme interface. Produced excellent maps of off-road and lake areas where I frequently hike and fish. Don'tcount on it for perfect urban street detail; you definately need something like Street Atlas for that. But if topographical maps are what you are after, this is where to look.

This is a preatty nice aproach to create your own maps, ideal to travel throught conventional systems. Eassy, quickly and chip. However is limited to USA.

The program works ok, however, I had diffulties installing it initially. This is a two CD program, but the insallation program is only on the Eastern U. S. CD. It took me several minutes to figure out that it was only the wrong CD not a problem with my computer/program compatability. The program itself is easy to use and prints out a good map with nice shading and readable contours at 1:50000 and 1:24000.
