- great product for bad spellers on the go!!!!
I've had one of these for over 14 years now, when they first started coming out. My brother has the original one I got freshman year in high school, and I have one I got junior year. This item is still very much the same as it was 14 years ago, just a little sleaker and smaller. Very easy to use, turn on, type the word, and search. It still has thesaurus and games, and as reviews below mention, occasionally still brings up entertaining words if you are as bad of phonetic speller as I am. This item ... Read More

The Franklin Spelling Ace is pretty good with games, thesaurus, and spell check, but the display was designed poorly. The screen has huge print and you have to scroll constantly to read the full definition of a word. The auto scrolling is too slow and it can very tedious to read definitions. There is a list feature to put in your own words for future reference. The games are enjoyable. - A great little thesaurus & dictionary
This is a great little tool for use in the office especially when you type a lot of memos, policies, procedures, etc. I use it primarily for the thesaurus, so I cannot comment on the other features. The only problem I have is that the lid pops off every time I use it. No biggie, but a fact.

ok so i bought this figuring it will help me with essays and homework. I firgured this would not be the best, but would do its job and that what i wanted. Well it doesnt.
