Settlers IV is a challange game. My son and I play each often and it is challange for us both. The game has good graphics and building you village is fun. The negative side is it takes a long time to advance the development and you need short cut keys to play at a higher level. i would advise any PC gamer to play this game. THe US seams to be missing out on this game as it is very popular in Europe.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Settlers 4 is basically Settlers 3 Gold
Settlers 4 is the same as Settlers 3 with enhancements and changes here and there. If you liked prior versions of Settlers then this one will fit the bill nicely. The game is still enjoyable despite its dated graphics and you can't find games like this anymore. So pick up a copy of you still can.

I became addicted to Settlers, long ago, and have only just purchased Settlers IV, after plaing the demo for a couple weeks. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference between Settlers III and IV. The user interface is still confusing at first, and the battle scenes are nearly impossible to control, but otherwise it is a great game.

You've just got to love these little settlers and their settlements. I've wasted countless hours playing this game.
If you've had enough Starcraft/Warcraft but still want to play something engrossing...Settlers IV is your best bet: just don't have anything else to do...like studying for finals!
