Grab a skateboard and head to the streets for some action in TONY HAWK'S PRO SKATER. Try to score as many tricks as possible in the Halfpipe mode, where the biggest rewards come with complexity and originality. In the Tournament mode, you must compete against professional skaters in five different skate parks, navigating through the park and performing tricks. Hopefully, you will be able to beat the competition to the finish line. If your friends want in on the action, you can challenge them to a race with the Versus mode, where you can compete via the link cable. But don't enter the Versus mode unless you are prepared; the best preparation comes by playing the One-on-One mode against the computer. Get all of the skateboarding action you can handle with TONY HAWK'S PRO SKATER

Wow--this game is really bad. I remember it being pretty pathetic the first time I played it a couple years back, but after getting TH4 on the GBA, I realized this game isn't worth a buck.

Save your money.

I bought this game for my game boy at [a local store] for [money]. This game is not even worth [money]. I brought the game home and I put it in my game boy. I played it for 5 minutes and I lost intrest in it. The graphics stunk. Every Time time you do a trick like an Indy, they stop the game and say congratulations! You did an Indy. I got this game on my birth day,and as soon as I played it , I loved it.This game is VERY addictive. The graphics are't the best either,the corses a fine but the skaters...thats a different story. The skaters all drop in 'regular' stance,they are mostly one color,and there arms are similar to the Power Puff girls.This game is also challenging,unlike THPS2,the tricks are much harder to land. This game stunk! First of all, it was WAY to short. Three minutes, tops. Also, too few areas.

I gave Tony Hawk's Pro Skater a 3.It wasn't great,but it wasn't completely horrible.It has great sound(although there are only a couple of tunes).Being aware of that,the graphics still are bad.It had pretty good gameplay but the graphics?I loved the console versions(I played demos at K-Mart)and I knew that the GBC version couldn't be as great,but they were just horrible.And another thing is that when doing the tournament mode(getting points for tricks)there were only like 2 possible tricks:Indy and Stale ...
